Truck trouble at Toyota. The vehicle manufacturer began notifying owners of Tacoma pickup trucks about the potential for severe rust on truck frames. The trucks may not have adequate corrosion protection. The problem affects models manufactured between 1995 and 2000. The company says a small number of trucks have had problems. So, no recall has been ordered. Toyota is extending the frame warranties on affected vehicles from 3-years to 15-years with no mileage limitations. Truck owners who are concerned can have their Tacomas inspected at Toyota dealerships for free.
