The Navistar company announced on November 3, 2010 that they will be delivering approx 17,000 vehicles to its US and Canadian customers.
The manufacturing plant of the Navistar International Corporation in Huntsville is in full production mode that ships hundreds of Navistar engines to its bus and truck assemblies.
Till date the company ahs managed to manufacture more than 15,000 engines that meet 2010 EPA needs. The company also continues to manufacture 100 MaxxForce engine every day.
Navistar also stated that they have orders of around 28,000 for EPA2010 compliant vehicles which also include 10,000 unit order of MaxxForce 13. The order also included more than 1000 truck orders for class4/5 International TerraStar truck.
Naviatar trucks also featured a campaign that focuses on the perfect combination of International ProStar+ truck and the revolutionary MaxxForce 13 engine, which is launched this month. Fleet business are facing many challenges and difficulties and sometime running in losses. Fleet owners need to carry as much as possible, this is understood well by Navistar. Navistar is providing fleet owners with vehicles that are more flexible and ideally a truck should be a light weight and should be able to carry more.
The ProStar+ and the MaxxForce 13 trucks are 1,000 lbs lighter, which simply means the weight saved is used as extended carrying capacity allowing its customers to earn more with increased payloads.
The weight advantage also is passed on to better fuel economy that makes the truck a wining class 8 contender. In June 2010 Navistar under took tests for their engines that meets EPA 2010 requirement. The ProStar+ paired to MaxxForce 13 out ran two other trucks in the test by 1% to 2.5%.
International TerraStar which is a medium duty Class 4/5 commercial truck started running out of the production line since October 2010 form the production assembly in Garland Texas. These manufactured trucks have already reached dealers in the US and Canada.
The International TerraStar has variety of features to do heavy. The TerraStar comes powered with MaxxForce engine, large cabin space and backed by safety features the truck sets standards in Class 4/5 truck market. The 6.4 liter MaxxForce engine pumps out a 300 horsepower and 660 lb ft of torque. The engine department features common rail fuel system, high strength graphite iron block and dual turbochargers.
