Mack Trucks are responsible for producing vocational trucks, Class8 trucks to Class13. In America Mack Trucks are known for their heavy duty off-road trucks. Currently, the company is a subsidiary of Volvo Trucks.

Mack Trucks are being sold in more than 45 countries but in the US they have distinctive personality. Company rules American highways with its vehicles having distinctive logo. Mack Trucks have logo of chrome plated bulldog which lays on the front of the trucks. Next time when you see a Mack truck bulldog gold plated don’t be surprised, because a gold plated logo communicates a different story. Almost all of the truck manufacturers don’t whole manufacturer their trucks, with this I mean they source suspension, transmission and engine from other OEM part manufacturers. A Mack truck having a gold plated logo communicates that all of the components used to built the truck are Mack manufactures, hence making Mack with gold special ones.

Mack Trucks are divided into four series of trucks to include Highway series, Heavy Haul Series, Construction Series and Refuse Series. Mack’s are also popular in used truck segment. Mack also produces natural gas trucks. In the used truck segment two heavy duty Mack models are very popular Mack G73 and Mack B61.

Mack G73 is widely used in the construction industry as a mixer truck. The engine on this Mack G73 is Mack made and the front axle capacity is 23000 lbs and rear axle comes with a capacity of 46,000 lbs.

Suspension on the Mack G73 is sourced from Hendrickson. This means the truck has a chrome bulldog logo.

Mack G73 was last manufactured in 2008 and on the other hand Mack B61 is an old vantage truck. The truck looks a vintage in ever sense from its front grill, placement of headlights and large wheel fenders.

There is very less information available on the Mack B61.

Mack B61 was used majorly for construction application and was made to run with 6 cylinder diesel engine. This used Mack truck is offered for $10,000 in the pre-owned segment. It’s a great stop for truck enthusiast.
