Eaton on 28 December officially announced that their hybrid systems equipped on various vehicles have made a run of more than 100 million miles and in this process they have saved 4 million gal of diesel.

It’s not only the hybrid system has saved fuel the system has also reduced lots of carbon emission. By completing a 100 mile the hybrid system has contributed towards reduction of harmful emissions, about 40,000 metric tonnes, company claims.

More than 4,500 Eaton hybrid system equipped vehicles are loaded functional around the world. Dimitri Kazarinoff, vice president of Eaton’s hybrid division states that, the company is the expanding its leadership in hybrid systems and Eaton is considering lots of acceptance for its hybrid solutions around the world. Among those who showed interest are global bus and truck manufacturers and large fleet owners. Early innovation adopters are placing heavy orders for trucks and busses that are equipped with Eaton’s hybrid system.

The company is also experiencing more and more customers adopting new technology with the end of the year. For New Year Company has lot many expectation from its hybrid system and 2011 is the year when they will be taking the hybrid system to the next level.

One of Eaton’s hybrid largest users is UPS. UPS has ordered 130 Eaton Hybrid systems which they will be using for their delivery business. Officials from UPS reported 35% of fuel saving with their newly adopted hybrids.

Mike Britt director of vehicle engineering UPS states that the electric hybrid technology is gaining lot of acceptance round the world and has proven results. UPS is impatient to receive these hybrids so that they can be put to work in their delivery business.

It’s an environment strategy by UPS to adopt new technologies and renewable fuel sources.
