Honda for 2011 has blessed the Honda Crosstour with minor changes that makes the price to increase by $120. Honda’s controversial crossover has marked a sales figure of 25,927 units.

The minor changes which I am talking about works, to make the crossover more fuel efficient. The 4WD Crosstour is better on the mpg figure than the 2011 Honda Crosstour. The mpg for the city and the highway is increased from 17/25 to the current 18/26.

The 2011 Honda Crosstour is with the same engine as the previous offering. The crossover is powered with a 3.5 liter engine that throws out 271 horsepower and a torque of 254 lb ft. the crossover is offered with only option of six speed automatic transmission. The crossover is equipped with VCM cylinder system that shuts down cylinders to save on fuel consumption. The engine can be made to generate power by employing a minimum of three cylinders depending upon the power it needs.

The updates include the repositioning of the climate control button. For better usability the climate control is moved to left side of the center area, while other controls are shifted to the right.

The update adds $120 more to the base price. The base Crosstour now comes for $30,570, which includes reasonable features some of them are dual zone climate control, for lights, 360 watt sound system with 6 CD changer and a 10 way power driver adjustable seat.

The Honda Crosstour EX-L trim is offered for $33,470, the package include heated front seat, USB audio jack, Homelink, leather seats and Hands free Bluetooth connectivity. The fully loaded 2011 Crosstour comes with addition $2200, which includes a navigation system. The 4WD option comes with additional $1450 over the EX-L trim pricing.

So basically the $120 trim includes a shift in position of the climate control button. And the 2011 Honda Crosstour gives one more mile for ever gallon consumed, when compared to the 2010 Honda Crosstour.
